Suggest me a nostalgic crime/mystery book like Joyland

I read Stephen King’s Joyland quite a few years ago and currently I’m craving this kind of story. A nostalgic, summer, coming of age story with a strong mystery/crime/non-supernatural horror element. I’m fine with no deaths at all and also with a bloodbath and anything in between. I do prefer a female protagonist but this is not necessary. I’ve read lots of Stephen King already (books and short stories) so a different author would be appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂
