Hello,
I don’t often have time for reading anything beyond what my work requires, which is almost exclusively scientific research in the form of published journal articles. When I have picked up a book, they tend to be a little dark (think Handmaid’s Tale or Dexter) or non-fiction. I’m finding myself with a few days to myself soon, and I’d love to pick something up that’s not technical or heavy, where I can really settle into one of my only opportunities for relaxation for the year – I don’t want to learn or feel bleak, I want to chill out, relax, and enjoy. I don’t really know myself as a lesuire reader, so I’m fumbling over where to start!
Can anyone help a gal out with some recommendations?

I recently read a good “casual” book titled Midnight Library. It is existential but also funny and heartwarming. Also is not too long. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a good story!
