I’m currently on maternity leave and I really need some captivating stories that I can immerse myself in while waiting (im)patiently for the baby to arrive.
I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump for quite a while and can’t seem to pull myself out of it. I often start a book and put it down before the 25% mark because it doesn’t captivate me enough. I used to read a book a week, so I’m really bummed out that I keep being too restless to read.
I generally read books in the genres magical realism, sci fi, fantasy and romance.
Some books I love:
– The shadow of the wind
– Dark matter
– The will of the many
– The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo
– The house in the cerulean sea
– The night circus
– Sleeping giants
– Strange the dreamer
– Piranesi
– The name of the wind
– The time traveler’s wife
– Uprooted
TIA!

If you liked *The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo* I have a feeling you will also like *Laura Lamont’s Life in Pictures*.
