    1. can be of absolutely any genre, race, class, background or sexuality. the female lead just has to be over 18+

    2. absolutely no romance plot. i’m tired of being promised books with highly calculated female leads just for their characterization to be reduced into the role of a “giRlfRiend” 70% in after they meet a (usually dark and brooding, *rolls eyes* and don’t forget casually misogynistic but it’s okay according to b00tok standards because it’s eNemiEs tO lOverS) – man that “tames” her (yuck!). absolutely no male love interests. Badass women can still be lover girls, of course, but in my experience it’s NEVER done right or in a way that is satisfying so i don’t want it.

preferrebly action based, or drama. honestly it doesn’t matter as long as there is a conflict she’s presumably trying to beat throughout the book. for reference, i loved mulan (without the obvious) + maybe i’m remembering wrong but i remember liking Pretty Girls by Karin slaughter when i read it a while back and i think it follows a sleuth strong woman related format?

strong women can also have weaknesses, i wouldn’t mind that at all. would actually prefer it even

    3. when i say badass, i don’t mean in the juvenile, cliche riddled format route YA fantasy books are used to taking. i want an adult woman, that acts and thinks like an adult 👍🏾

    4. HEA please i’m still a softie at heart😭

    5. bonus points if it’s an audiobook but i’m open either way

    6. extra bonus points for strong female side characters who have strong platonic relationships with the FL too. side characters can be in relationships of any sort, i don’t mind that

    1. ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’ by Jules Verne is an adventure classic that I highly recommend. Follow Phileas Fogg’s race against time as he attempts to circumnavigate the globe. It’s a fun, fast-paced story that showcases the wonders of the industrial age and the indomitable human spirit.
