So I used to read a lot when I was younger. I read books like the House of Night series, Mortal Instruments, the Summoning trilogy, the “Crank” books (Ellen Hopkins), Twilight (lol), Street Pharm… I don’t really know what genre those qualify as. Supernatural romance drama I guess? And then whatever the crank/street pharm genre is. I don’t think “drugs” is a genre, lol.
I want to get back into reading, and my tastes haven’t really changed since then in terms of types of books that appeal to me but I’m wondering if there are certain series that are in the same realm as the aforementioned but more “adult” As I’m 26 now, and those series were very much YA back in the day and what I read when I was 13/14ish.
Any help is very much appreciated 🙂

you should check out tweak by nic sheff. it’s a personal memoir but it’s wonderfully written and really reads like a story. it’s about heavy drug addiction, relapse, sobriety etc etc. there’s also a movie called beautiful boy starring timothee chalamet and steve carell about it.
Try The Hollows series by Kim Harrison. First book is Dead Witch Walking.
