Not looking for books on any specific true crime cases. More looking for something about true crime as a genre and how it has evolved.
Also looking for nonfiction books on folk heroes throughout history for an essay I’m planning on the Gypsy Rose Blanchard phenomenon. Mostly interested in female folk heroes, folk heroes of color, and folk heroes throughout New Zealand history. Open to most books on this subject though. More generalized books around the concept of folk heroes and the sociology/history of them would be very interesting too.
Also seeking books on the rape and revenge film genre. I have already read Men women and chainsaws.
