I know this question’s been asked a few years ago, but I’d love to hear some new answers. Les Miserables was easily the most common answer, and I know from experience that most English translations the Four Great Novels of China (which all have longer word counts than the Stormlight Archive in their OG language) are cut to remove what most modern Westerners would consider repetitious prose, needlessly descriptive detail, and uneventful chapters. What other books are better abridged in your opinion.
If you say The Stand, I’ll judge you forever.
