Could be literal, could me metaphorical, I just want to see what you got.
I’d prefer if it was a mostly platonic or have it focus more on the drama, connections, and story then for it to be some romance where a women finds a monster and ‘fixes’ him. Well, some romance would probably be fine, I just don’t want that specific romance trope.
There’s also a more niche idea I’m looking for (which probably won’t exist) where an alien or monster finds a human and just adopts them. Like as a pet or in a familial way. Just sees the funky looking monkey creature and says ‘mine.’ Also non-romantically, no shade to the people who enjoy that but I’m not looking to be sexing the monsters. But finding non-sexual monster stories are hard so I’m asking for recs to see if anyone has them here.
And also, the no romance isn’t a hard rule. I’m looking for good stories before anything else, and if there’s a really good book that’s romance centered I’ll still probably give it a try.
