Here’s the script, my book club operates on an annual cycle with each individual putting forward 2 books each. Our genres are open and fluid, albeit focussed towards female empowerment and women protagonists – a quick list of some scorchers:
– lying lives of adults (Elena Ferrante)
– Fix the system, not the women (Laura Bates)
– Dangers of smoking in bed (Mariana Enríquez)
– Scarlett letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne)
I’m looking to branch out and throw in two unexplored genres: Fantasy and Sci-Fi. What would you recommend?
