I am someone who every once in a while gets into a reading phase. I am not an avid reader, but I don’t necessarily dislike reading. I usually end up stopping halfway through because I get bored, even if the story is really interesting. I think my issue is literally the length of the books I try to read, so I thought I would come here asking if anyone had any suggestions for a shorter book or a collection of short stories. I really like mystery but the genre doesn’t really matter, other than I would prefer it be fiction. I also do not mind if the text is a dense, especially if it’s a short story.

Try short story Collections by H H Munro (Saki) such as Reginald, Toys of Peace or The Chronicles of Clovis. The stories are very very short merely 3-4 pages on average and they’re really clever and funny with a small twist at the end of almost every story
9 Stories – JD Sallinger.
He wrote something else, too.
Dubliners, by James Joyce
What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, by Raymond Carver
Labyrinths, by Jorge Luis Borges
