Horror, Historical Fiction, Mystery etc..

Ive been getting into listening to audiobooks while I work but I’m starting to realize a lot of the stuff out there is really not to my taste and I struggle to get through. Usually I get bored and drop them
Based on my recent likes/ dislikes, are there any books you recommend I look into? I’m interested in horror, body horror, historical fiction, crime, mysteries. I’m also a girl so I appreciate stuff written by women but by no means a requirement.

Enjoyed:
Lapvona, all the seas of the world, sharp objects, fall of giants, piranesi

Did not enjoy:
Blood meridian, the road,
Stephen king not really my thing,
The last house on needless street,
The southern book clubs guide to slaying vampires,
Lute,
chuck palahniuk stuff
