so, ive always found the 1972 andes plane crash incredibly fascinating. and with the new movie about it coming out, i really wanna pick up a book about it.
(btw society of the snow is GREAT. totally worth a watch!!)

there’s several books written about this tragedy. id love to read one written either by one of the survivors or pablo vierci. i kinda don’t wanna read the popular one “Alive!” as it came out like 2 yrs after everything happened and I’ve heard it’s too sensationalist. if anyone has any recommendations, I’d be very thankful!

here’s a list of the one’s im picking between:

    a. Miracle in the Andes by Nando Parrado (survivor), Vince Rause
    b. I Had to Survive: How a Plane Crash in the Andes Inspired My Calling to Save Lives by Roberto Canessa (survivor), Pablo Vierci
    c. Out of the Silence: After the Crash by Eduardo Strauch Urioste (survivor), Mireya Soriano
    d. Carlitos Páez: After the Tenth Day by Carlos Paez (survivor), Miguel Campodónico
    e. Memories of the Andes by José Luis “Coche” Inciarte (survivor), Katharine Smith
    f. Society of the Snow by Pablo Vierci
