Books/authors that are not “Comedy” but still hilarious
I’m looking for books from any genre that will make me laugh but aren’t strictly comedic in genre. I want to improve my humor in my writing, for context
‘Me Talk Pretty One Day’ by David Sedaris is a collection of essays that I find incredibly funny and touching. Sedaris has a gift for turning everyday observations into comedic gold, particularly when recounting his experiences learning French in Paris.

**He Who Fights with Monsters (Only B#1)
by Shirtaloon:** Pulled chapter titles out of jeopardy & other IRL things & made them relevant to plot. & That evil trowel line out of nowhere off had me rolling.
**Dungeon Crawler Carl & Expeditionary Force**: Humor comes from self absorbed sidekicks which say over the top chit. & co-MCs have a macho-man vibe that is funny when they are forced to shrug it off when their sub-plans fail.
**Neither Here nor There: Travels in Europe** By Bryson, Bill. I already forgot details, but found this funny many times & he writes non-fiction.

I had a really good time with Knock Knock Open Wide by Neil Sharpson. Rented it on a whim just hoping for a decent horror title, ended up loving it. Unexpectedly really funny, creepy vibes and a romance I ended up very much invested in.

I thought Swordheart by T. Kingfisher was hilarious. It was the dialogue that made it so great.
