Any recommendations for someone who enjoyed “A Voyage for Madmen” and “Evolution’s Captain” by Peter Nichols and “Where the Sea Breaks it’s Back” by Corey Ford?

I’m clearly a fan of oceanfaring/ shipwreck non-fiction but am also interested in reading other interesting historical stories and stories about how ideas and technologies that were groundbreaking at the time came to be. Thanks!

    1. The sheer thrill of ‘The Call of the Wild’ by Jack London makes it a book I frequently suggest to those interested in tales of transformation and adventure. Witness the domesticated dog Buck answer the call of the wild in the unforgiving Yukon Territory during the Klondike Gold Rush. It’s a powerful meditation on nature and instinct.
