Hello, so I am trying to recover from dpdr and I’m trying to have a constant routine. Right now I just wanna read novels or anything science relates that involves nature will do as well, just anything that is grounding before I sleep. Thanks!

    1. For non-fiction, The Age of Wonder by Richard Holmes

For fiction, All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot

    2. Nature nonfiction:

      Underland by McFarlane

Look up collections by John Muir

      Fiction:

Ducks, Newburyport would be a really fun bedside table book with a great rhythm.

Don Quixote has bite size chapters and lots of humor

      Poetry:

Maybe Mary Oliver would be a good choice

If you can overlook the Christian Propaganda element of it, I’ve rarely found a series more relaxing than *the Chronicles of Narnia*. In general children’s literature is a good call for something extremely relaxing and comforting. *Dominic* by William Steig is another old favorite of mine in this same vein.

If you’re up for something with a bit of violence here and there that’s more adult, then *The Wheel of Time* could be good. I read it to fall asleep frequently. It’s your standard sort of “dudes on a quest” fantasy; lots of chapters and sections where almost nothing happens other than describing the trek from one town to another and then them all taking baths. But if you’re not already accustomed to the tropes of fantasy lit it might be more *boring* than relaxing.
