These two authors have cemented modern Irish literature as my current favorite genre. Their prose is beautiful and heavy – it’s the kind of reading that you take slow and hang on to every word. The only down side is I could read an entire novel around every short story they write. Their stories end too soon and leave me wanting more.
Does anyone have recommendations for similar authors, as far as writing style and/or subject matter go?
