Suggest me something “spicy and spooky”

My work-friend just gave me a Dymocks gift card for $30, and told me to get something “spicy and/or spooky.”

What are some good Horror meets Dark Romance, or Spooky meets Sexy books I can find (in a bookstore).

I guess, for this particular purchase, I want something that feels like a sexy/edgy but slightly campy paranormal romp from the 90s.

For some context, things I’ve liked include:

– Grady Hendrix’s books and style (esp. My Best Friend’s Exorcism)
– I didn’t mind the New Adult level of smut or melodrama in ACOTAR (didn’t love the writing style).
– I love movies like Practical Magic, The Craft, Jennifer’s Body (favourite film), and shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed or AHS: Coven.
– I struggle with fantasy that isn’t Witchy or Paranormal and Spooky (ie. I can’t do high fantasy)
– I prefer New Adult to Adult, but I can get on board with YA if it’s at a high enough level
