Hello! I am looking for suggestions of children’s books. I get lost in time trying to read them in the store while shopping; so, I’d very much welcome some good directions!

I guess to help frame suggestions, I would like recommendations for both more serious and absolutely silly books. More serious could be just a good straightforward little story or something with themes in morality or what not. Silly is just that, silly or goofy, but also harmless, like not modeling overly poor behavior or heavy circumstances. Any suggestions that come to mind? (Side question: how do y’all usually look for good kids books?)

We have too many to list, but here are my most recent grabs:
    More serious
    * What Was I Scared Of by Dr. Seuss
    * Llama Llama’s Little Lie by Anna Dewdney and Reed Duncan.

    Silly
    * Dad and Me Setting Farts Free by Jane Bexley (had nephew belly laughing)
