Hey! After reading *She Who Became the Sun* and being halfway through *He Who Drowned the World*, I really want to read something set in Japan following a character in a similar fashion, bonus point if it’s set during the Sengoku period. I know about James Clavell’s *Shogun*, but I’ve heard it’s really western-y in its approach to Japanese culture (understandable, considering the time it was written in) and the Goodread reviews clearly don’t make me want to read it.
