I have no memory of Truant saying he was sending his/Zampano’s book in for publication at any time. Also, when he listens to the band at the bar later and hears their song about the “Five Minute Hallway, Truant was surprised that the song was inspired by his own work. I was surprised as he was. So we need to assume that smelly, homeless, emaciated Truant turned in that manuscript to a publishing house and had no memory doing so? Why would he do that despite the fact that the project was driving him insane?
