If you’ve read A Little Life, you know Jude’s debilitating injury with lifelong impact is a huge part of his character. I always thought it was strange that despite his chronic pain, he never complained about driving and actually found comfort in it sometimes. I don’t even have an injury, and my legs cramp up all the time! Granted, he doesn’t need to talk about being in pain every time since it’s already established that he always feels it, but I always thought it was weird.
