Haven’t read Stone Blind, but I did enjoy A Thousand Ships by the same author
It is indeed very good! I have read *The Song of Achilles* and *Circe* (found the former very compelling, hate to love/love to hate the latter) as well as all the mythology books by Natalie Haynes. She is my my favourite author in that niche by far. She is both a classicist and a stand-up comedian, and you can tell. *Stone Blind* is surprisingly funny, given that Medusa’s myth is not known for being humorous. Natalie Haynes approaches the stories with a sense of humour without losing sight of the tragedy. Her love for the stories and profound knowledge of Greek language and literature come through on every page. I would rate it 4-5.
If you happen to like audiobooks, I recommend giving the *Stone Blind* audiobook a try. I love the character voices, and the snark and humour come through very well.
Of course, it depends on why you enjoyed *Song of Achilles* so much. I like the whole “minor character from a myth becomes the main character” thing. If it was mainly the love story for you, I suppose you would be happiest with another romance novel. But if you also liked the Greek mythology setting, Natalie Haynes is definitely the next author to read!
