i just read east of eden and i think i now have a new favorite book. i don’t know exactly how to describe why but it’s something about the narrative style that was so unique. it was just the right amount of naivety, humor, mystery, everything for me. i really want to read another book like it.
some more info:
– i didn’t love “of mice and men”, haven’t read “grapes of wrath”.
– the multigenerational aspect was cool but not really why i loved the book so much. i’ve read pachinko. one hundred years of solitude is on my list.
