When I studied literature in school, I would always have an audiobook of the novel we would be reading in class. Now that I’ve started reading books through my own selection, I despise audiobooks. I feel like they take away from my imagination because oftentimes the narrator will give the character a voice I typically wouldn’t associate with them. It just makes the book less fun. Is it only me or do other people agree? What are your thoughts on audiobooks?

I enjoy them, especially in the gym or in the car. You might seek out audiobooks read by the author.
Don’t like them. My mind wanders a lot more if I’m not actively reading.
I like audio books when I am driving. Otherwise I prefer reading.
Yeah, when I drive or do chores around the house
Generally not, but I’ve found them quite marvelous as a an accompaniment to epic poetry.
