I have a book subscription that makes hardbacks cheaper- even if you buy an extra couple. I’ve only bought a second book by a same author once or twice (Brandon Sanderson because of the sequel Mistborn trilogy and Lucy Foley) since because I don’t want to get in another rut like I did Lisa Jackson and don’t want to be one of those people.

I’ve chosen different authors every time (men and women authors) and lve gone through about 8 or 9 genres/subgenres. I’m glad I did so I could learn about different social, cultural and familial issues- even some with light homosexuality. I even choose some debuts here and there. I find it a lot of fun since I’m not super critical of the books I read and read to have fun, not be a critic.

Anyone else do this in relation to authors?
