I was recently reading The Outsider and I finally noticed something. I’m sick of Stephen King’s meandering. I really don’t want 97 descriptions for every single object and person in the story. It got so exhausting and I ended up putting the book down. He’s great at building tension and keeping you hooked but boy does he ramble and I really can’t take it. It’s actually so mentally tiring. I don’t know how he gets away with it. Starting to feel he’s overrated. And his sentence are pretty plain, except he’s just so good at tension. What do you think?
