I am on book 3 for the second time. I couldn’t figure out why I stopped reading it until this time around again. The first 2 books held my attention with minimal cringy writing, but the first 50 pages of so of this one is prime neckbeard author material. These guys have trouble writing women, but does it get worse the further the series goes or not? What is your opinion?

Can you be more specific about what you don’t like? If you object to the depiction of Clarissa Mao, definitely stick with it, she has an interesting character arc.
I didn’t have any issues with the third book so I can’t guarantee your concerns will be addressed. But I loved the series.
I’d recommend sticking with it. I think the final three books were my fav in the series. But I’m not really sure what your problem is with it specifically.
