Great book much better than the film I’ve been reading a lot of books lately at a strangely fast pace I read Frankenstein in one sitting the other week and I finished reading Carrie on the 1st of January.
And I’ve read this in about 3 days. I really enjoyed the book and I saw Jack as a more sympathetic character who had problems and was torn apart by the hotel and my favourite characters were Danny and Halloran.
I honeslty felt kind of sad when Jack started to go crazy and when he died.
As it seemed like he could be saved at the end if he could stop being cursed by the hotel and I enjoyed his character before they got to the hotel. Also I just feel weird for the fact that I have done nothing with my free time but read.
It feels wrong and out of character for me also I’m feeling a bit sad that the books over I really enjoyed Danny and Halloran and it’s weird because I’ve never felt like that about a book before. Nevertheless a true horror classic and the ending was so picturesque compared to the movie.
