Hey y’all
I’m rewatching Adventure Time and it’s just got such a good vibe. I particularly just really love Finn. You have this dynamic, crazy world and in the middle of wizards and candy people and ancient primordial demons you have this scrawny preteen/teen kid with a sword and a heart of gold. Im such a sucker characters that are so good they’re almost naive but they’re really not.
Anyway, I’ve been searching around for a book with a similar feel. Honestly, humor isn’t the #1 thing I’m looking for. I almost gave Guards! Guards! a try but from what I saw it seemed like it was almost a Hitchhikers Guide type feel? I could be wrong let me know if I am! That being said I’m also open to a comedy of course
I’m looking for a good straight up adventure story with a sword or sword adjacent wielding protagonist in a wild world. That might be too specific but I’m open to any suggestions!

The Stormlight Archive is a series about overpowered knights collecting magical armor and warring over gemstones harvested from giant crustations. In this series is a character named Lift, she is a unique young woman that cavalierly drifts around in an otherwise serious world. She has her own book called Edge Dancer that takes place between the second and third book of the main series. It can also be read in the collection named Arcanum Unbounded.
You should definitely give Discworld a shot. Although on the surface it might seem like pure humor fantasy, there are a lot of deeper meanings and powerful stories in that series. Pratchett was a thoughtful and wonderful human being who had something to say.
