I’m looking for dystopian books, preferably of the zombie genre but open to anything really. I love zombie games and media but find that there’s not as many popular zombie books as there are movies or shows or games, etc.
I’m reading Charlie Higson’s The Enemy right now and so far am enjoying it but I’m not very deep into it yet.
Some things I think might be helpful to know but aren’t necessary:
– I love both of the The Last of Us Games and the The Walking Dead Games, both series which focus on the (familial/platonic) relationship between an older man and young girl set in a dystopian world, if that gives any insight into what sort of tropes I enjoy lol.
– I really enjoy books with sad endings but happy endings are very welcome too
– I prefer my books to have some sort of romance but it’s definitely not a must; if romance is involved I don’t enjoy the “bad boy/girl” thing and much prefer sweet love interests (e.g Peeta Mellark from the Hunger Games)
– I prefer books that are part of a series but stand alones are also still welcome!
