Really I hated Tender is the Flesh but I found the ideas interesting and the blurb made it sound interesting. Unfortunately I found it shallow and rather dull. The book brought some interesting thoughts to the table but felt more shock and awe gore porn with a few weak points sprinkled in. To make this short my last gripe is it was just plain boring, focusing way to much on the main guy’s personal life.
All of that said, as irritating as it is to say, I find myself thinking about that book alot and the type of world it build. I would love to read a book that is similar in vein to our never ending consumption (especially with food) that actually developes the point it tries to make. If anyone can think of anything similar i would appreciate it.
