Basically the title. Havent read a book in years, tried to pick up a few over the last two years or so and none grabbed me. Last book I enjoyed reading was *War of the Worlds* by HG Wells, read a few of his other books (*Time Machine, Invisible Man*) and they were alright, short enough to get through though. Didnt like a bunch of his other stuff.

In high school, I really liked *Kite Runner*, *1984*, and a lot of the Shakespeare I read (*Macbeth, Othello*), but not sure I would have wanted to read those if school wasnt making me, with the exception of *Kite Runner*, that book slaps.

Stuff I didn’t like: *Catcher in the Rye, LOTR*. Catcher in the Rye might be the least enjoyable book I have ever read. LOTR, I love the story (from the movies) but the style of writing is just too verbose and a lot of descriptions of stuff that I just couldnt force myself to get through.

I am really looking for a book that grabs me quickly, so that I actually want to read instead of it feeling like a chore. I am trying to do my best to cure my short-form media brainrot. Definitely want something fiction, preferably Sci-Fi or fantasy. Please help!
