For some reason I find myself drawn to this topic despite never particularly romanticizing the pre-internet software/hardware computer development era. (Like, I’d never recognize a 1980s computer or think it’s a valuable relic of an era.)
I enjoyed Chaos Monkeys and enjoyed disliking the author of Disrupted, so anything in that vein is great. Brotopia was good, too.

ETA: “Without an agenda” just means without someone who set out to prove a point they alreayd thought before they gathered the evidence. I’m fine with both fans and critics of the tech industry.
