Currently reading for the first time – and just got to the part where we learn that Charlie’s sister essentially only shows interest in this boy after he becomes seemingly abusive towards her and takes on a more “masculine” personality
Was wondering if the book ever addresses this later on because I can’t seem to find anything about it. The implication being that she had no interest in him until he was abusive and traditionally hypermasculine is WILD and feels a bit incel-ish
Though that said I have known people who seem to share a similar vibe in their relationships. I have a hard time understanding people so reading books that have these dynamics help me understand my friends and relationships a lot more. So I really wanna know what’s up there but I can’t seem to find any answers about it online
