I recently rewatched “When Harry Met Sally…” after many years and it had be thinking, ‘Is it really that there can’t be people who have the capability to be attracted to each other but aren’t and are just friends?’ If you haven’t watched the film, the main theme of it is that a man and a woman can’t be “just” friends.
It was released on 1989 and the views on a lot of things have changed now. So, I wanted to try my luck and see if there are characters who are just friends.
What I am looking for is the MCs that have a friend who has no romantic or sexual attraction towards the MC. Not even secretly.
Note: MC and the friend must have the capability to be attracted to each other but aren’t. For example,
MC is straight man and friend is straight woman
MC is lesbian and friend is a lesbian too
You get the pattern.
So far, I’ve never read a book that has this. Usually it is like one of them is interested on the other either explicitly or secretly.
