Hi All! Me and 5 of my friends (all 26F) have a book club where we have really different taste in books. I prefer contemporary fiction, 1 girl prefers YA novels, 1 girl prefers fantasy, and 3 prefer murder thrillers. We all pick turns picking books and it’s going to be my turn soon so i wanted suggestions (no murder thrillers please we’ve already done Flicker in the Dark, Kind Worth Killing, The Perfect Marriage all in 2023)
I was hoping for something more like around friend groups and journey of life and etc, nothing \~too dark\~ but has a nice lesson. When it was my turn last time, I picked Anxious People and it was generally well-received. This time around I was thinking something similiar to the book “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” (which i loved!) and “Malibu Rising” and would be fun to discuss as a group of girls all in our mid 20’s.
