I have just gotten in to reading books and started reading “The laws of human nature”. Okay, the book in itself is not the query.
I realised the following after completing 20 pages.
1. I’m reading word by word and even silently murmuring each word with only lip movement for each word. It is slow but the query is by reading like this will it improve my english vocabulary and articulation skills?
2. Will this practice of mine lose the essence of the ideas in the book?
Also, If I lose focus, I had to re read from the last sentence I didn’t understand.
English is not my first language, so the whole idea behind my new hobby is to develop my vocabulary & articulation and at the same time imagine the ideas put forward by the author.
