When I turned 18 my uncle gave me a book about people who rescued people targeted in the Holocaust. ((Rescuers: Portraits of Moral Courage in the Holocaust by Gay Block and Malka Drucker)). It meant a lot to me that he gave me a gift about being an upstanding, courageous adult with the ability to take action in the face of injustice. I also liked that it was individual narratives that are easy to read. I would like to give my nephew something similar, is there anything out there that has the same, “This is how I expect you to treat others in your adulthood” vibes?
