At the moment I’m seriously enjoying a good romance, talking at night by Claire Daverly was beautiful but so damn sad omg. Not to be really fussy, but I usually prefer a romance that has both perspectives, mostly cause as an 18 year old guy I’ve burnt through enough chic lit with 4 pages describing his abs to last me a while.
Also, I’m fairly partial to a time gimmick type of storyline too, something you’d find in Your Name (I know it was a movie but whatever you guys get the point).
Alternatively, something a bit more sci-fi/just cool fiction would be fun, I enjoyed Starter Villain by John Scalzi, and as a teenager I was a massive Skullduggery Pleasant fan.
Aaand just to keep yapping, I also like a good anti-consumerism plot/theme, and adjacent to that a good inventors plot (think like Hugo the movie, or even Iron Man)
Oh and I forgot to mention, my favourite all time book is The Book Theif by Markus Zusak.
Otherwise, absolutely recommend me something ignoring all of that, I’m an 18 year old who’s about to start uni, starting to (or should be) asking the big questions in life about identity, what it means to be a good friend or partner, how to spend your time, that kinda thing.
Thank youuu
