I really enjoy turn-of-the-century, Industrial Revolution, Victorian-to-Edwardian, settings. If you’ve ever watched the 4-part series of History channel’s *The Men Who Built America,* this is what I would like to read more. I have read biographies on Carnegie, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, etc.
Can anyone suggest me books that detail this time period from a 30,000 foot view? A book that’s specific to the Guilded Age, a time when Barrons loomed large, but not books so specific that if just covers one larger-than-life character? If that makes sense.
For context, I’m reading *The Prestige,* and my curiosity was peaked to read nonfiction books covering this time period. Please and thank you!
