I was watching the series ‘Band of Brothers’ and, in the 9th episode, they show scenes of Allied soldiers entering a concentration camp. I think it is known to most of us how horrible those events were, but personally, I’ve never been too interested in the topic.
Watching that episode made me want to know a bit more about the Holocaust, but at the same time, I was wondering how the German people would have lived that. Maybe there are some stories from German soldiers who served in those camps; civilians who witnessed what was inside the camps; or even survivors.
Is there any book about the Holocaust from the German perspective that you have read?, Is there any other book I should read to better understand this event even if It is not from the German point of view?
