I currently have an iPad that I’ve used to read ebooks occasionally but it’s not my favorite experience. I think it’s not tactile enough, and it has far too easy access to the Internet at my fingertips. Any time I pick up the iPad to read, the thought of just switching apps and browsing the Internet is literally inescapable.

I prefer physical books of course, but it’s not really realistic to buy (which I like doing for annotating, but of course it’s expensive, and Half Priced Books has a limited selection) or borrow at the moment (getting to my library is an ordeal as I don’t have a car). Plus, as a college student, I don’t want to be carrying around a big hefty book all the time.

For those who have both a tablet and an ereader, or who have experience with both, how do they compare? Is it worth getting an ereader, or is the experience pretty much the same as a tablet?

Also, if anyone has ereader recs, I’d greatly appreciate it! I’m not super well versed in that world other than Kindles and Kobos. I’m looking for tactile page turning buttons :-0
