If anyone has read this series I’d be interested in discussing the themes and characters, Corny specifically.
I find it interesting how susceptible he is to the allure of the fae. There are several humans in the series who interact with the fairies and are not nearly as impacted as he seems to be with every single fae he comes in contact with. Do you think it’s because of his own self loathing that he reacts to them so intensely? Or is there just something about him that is inherently interesting to the Fae and leads them to want to seduce and manipulate him? Dave, Lolli, and Val all have interactions with Fae and aren’t nearly as affected by them.
In the same vein I find the message of the books to be almost leaning towards the idea that while magik can be exciting and beautiful it is more often than not dangerous. I know a lot of lore says that the fae are evil and steal and kill and maime without question but this series specially seems to have a negative view of them with very few redeeming folk.
