There’s a genre of web novels called quick transmigration. It’s basically an anthology of short stories featuring the same protagonist in various settings, tied together by an underlying backstory. They generally range to a few thousand chapters in length and each story arc is at most about a hundred chapters.
I started a romance-themed one and it seemed to be going well till after the thousandth chapter. The author’s tone changed slightly to misogynistic and at first I thought it was all in my head. The plot was the FL having to fix the OG FL’s relationships in each arc at different times. Sometimes the FL would start close to the origin of the story so it wasn’t hard and other times, she started in the middle or close to the end when the ML’s favorability was negative.
The author’s tone switched so that FL carried the blame for all the problems in the relationship and the ML was absolved of all blame. I just really want to ask the author who hurt him.
