It’s not that I don’t like reading, it’s just that… none of the popular books these days seem all that interesting? I can’t even get through most books synopsis’s (synopses?) Without thinking that I’m not gonna like it, or it doesn’t tick all my boxes (note, I don’t really know what those boxes even are)
The books I have enjoyed off the top of my head have been Kindred, Fledgling, the Outsiders, and fuck it, I like Harry Potter – it actually got me to read (I don’t like the author, she’s trash). In school I liked One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest… these aren’t a great overview of my tastes lmao. I guess I’m just looking for fiction titles from others who have a hard time just sitting down and reading something. Also if it’s LGBT that’s a plus!
Sorry for this all over the place post, I’m just kind of… feeling a bit lost now that I want to get back into reading! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
