So I finished The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Farrell and I loved every single word, every comma and every period. I know books are subjective so maybe some will disagree but I found this beautiful book the best I have laid my eyes on at least in 2023. I’m afraid it has ruined me forever cause now I’m in a reading slump.
I don’t know what to read but I want something that will make me feel the same. Hopeful, beautiful settings, incredible writing and maybe happy or at least a nostalgic ending? I love love love historical fiction. Lisa See for example is one of my favorite writers and she also writes about women in history with a pinch of fiction and beautiful settings.
I’m in desperate times as an avid reader cause I don’t know what to read and I don’t want to leave whatever imma read unfinished.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
