For context before I get into my mediocre ‘review’, I used to read one or two books a year. Though I love reading when I am, I just find it hard to pick up a book, but I’m trying to keep on top of it now because it’s fun!!
Anyway, I recently read The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and though I didn’t find the book particularly gripping….it was all worth it for that plot twist. With The Island, I was really excited to read it because the concept of random influencers/journalists on a PR holiday getting murdered sounds interesting. But, for me, the story and the characters lacked many layers—an unsatisfying read in my opinion.
What do you think? Couldn’t find much out there, when I type the book in it comes up with love island content haha!
