Hi! I struggle with unmedicated ADHD and have not read a full book since I was 14, but I used to be the kid who ate up 300 or so pages in an afternoon. I’ve been too discouraged by my difficulty reading to try to pursue reading again, but I’ve made some self-improvement resolutions this year, which includes reading 2 books a month.

When I still read, I loved Goosebumps, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, the Kane Chronicles, Eragon/Inheritance Cycle, Harry Potter, and Twilight. I’m interested in suggestions that include fantasy, romance, horror, and mystery, as seen above, but I am also open to other genres and do not plan to limit myself to fiction.

For nonfiction I am particularly interested in themes of neurodivergence and LGBTQ+, but again, I am open to other themes and focuses beyond that. If you have read a book that you regard as particularly important or profound that you think anyone should read, please suggest it.
