The mathematic textbook “Elements” by Oliver Byrne used colours to help teach Geometry. It is now known more for its beautiful presentation than anything else and looks dramatically ahead of its time.
It is immediately eye catching and copies of it go for over 25k these days. It is the minimalism which I personally find appealing, keeping the coherence of something, whilst conveying it to the widest possible audience is where the real beauty lies.
Any fool can make something more complicated, but simplicity without being simplistic as Einstein said, that is what is special.
