Hi there, looking for books where the world/city/place the story is being told in can physically change in a way that affects people and is the main character in a way or a second one. Cause of the change could be anything, may be unknown.
Some examples would be the game Control’s Oldest House, manga Blame’s city, and the book Fifth Season to an extent; really liked the setting and the mystery but the actual book was too focused on couple of key figures for my taste, i wanted more of the actual world, heavier(?) worldbuilding.
I get really into these kinds of worlds and my imagination that’s normally absolutely dormant, runs wild. Bonus points if there’s brutalism but i don’t know how well that would translate into book format. Genre doesn’t matter, could be romance or adventure.
